03Our approach

A good floor is
mostly what you
don't see

  1. A1

    Assess the existing concrete

We look at moisture, cracks, previous coatings, sealers and overall slab condition, because each affects which systems are appropriate.

  2. A2

    Prepare the surface

Coatings rely on a properly prepared, clean profile. Preparation is often the most important part of the work.

  3. A3

    Select the right system

Epoxy, polyaspartic or a combination — the choice depends on the room, how it's used, finish goals and schedule.

  4. A4

    Provide care guidance

You'll get practical guidance on return-to-use and everyday cleaning for the system installed.

06Questions

Frequently asked

Suitability, installation schedules and return-to-use times depend on the selected system, slab condition and project circumstances.

01Where can epoxy flooring be installed?

Coatings are commonly installed over concrete in garages, interior living areas, home studios, retail spaces, offices and similar rooms. Whether a coating suits a particular space depends on the slab, moisture conditions, exposure and how the floor is used.

02How do epoxy and polyaspartic coatings differ?

Epoxy is a widely used resin with a longer working time, often used as a build coat. Polyaspartic coatings typically cure faster and are often used as top coats, sometimes over epoxy base coats. The right choice depends on your space and schedule.

03Can you coat an existing concrete floor?

Often, yes. Existing concrete can usually be coated once it's assessed and properly prepared. Previous coatings, sealers, adhesives or significant damage may change the approach.

04What preparation might be needed?

Preparation usually involves mechanically profiling the concrete and cleaning it thoroughly. Cracks, spalls or joints may need repair, and existing coatings may need to be removed.

05How long does installation take?

It varies with floor size, preparation needs and the selected system. We'll give you an expected schedule in your proposal.

06When can the floor be used again?

Return-to-use times depend on the coating system, temperature, humidity and slab conditions. We'll explain the specific guidance for your floor before work begins.

07How do I maintain a coated floor?

Regular sweeping or dust-mopping and cleaning with a mild, recommended cleaner keeps most coated floors looking their best. We provide care guidance for the system installed.
